In the future perhaps we will be able to see this as the era of extremist mass killings.  They used to be so rare as to be almost unknown.  But now it is surging.  Guns and ammunition are plentiful, easy to acquire cheaply and regulation is weak or non-existent.  Not just handguns but the weapons an army of reactionary warriors want — military-style assault weapons firing hundreds of rounds a minute.  Layer on top of this the mass delusions of rightwing, gun-loving, angry white fanatical men and you get today’s toxic mix.  Real synergies are created between hate and the means to take revenge on all those who insufficiently respect the crazies.

 

The heart of the Trump “base” is comprised of impotent incels — men who women find so repulsive that they become involuntary celebrates.  From this toxic mix come heavily armed, wildly unstable rightwing fanatics stoked to acts of violence by their toxic peers in the Nazi online incubators.</p>

These are Steve Bannon’s people, the bigoted, women-hating gun hoarders who are ready to die for their cause.  Bannon is about to begin to serve a jail term for Contempt of Congress, and is again trying to rally America’s tiny fascist minority to his side, to stand for him, honor and praise him for leading them into battle on January 6th, 2021. 

 

You cannot fail to have noticed that the fanatics who don suicide vests and arm themselves with automatic, battlefield weapons are united by their hatred of Jews, Muslims and every group of hypenated Americans: Black-, Hispanic-, Asian- and most anyone with a darker skin color.  What the corporate news media portrays as random acts of violence are deliberate efforts to terrorize and intimidate the half the country that is not white or not Christian as not normal and not welcome.  America enabled the prosperity of millions of immigrants for centuries and our country has slowly, somewhat grudgingly expanded citizenship to include everyone regardless of race or religion.  The haters hate that their country has embraced these generations of new Americans. 

 

We give the fascist shock troops what they crave — the attention and applause of their mentally deranged compatriots, stewing about tactics to re-assert the dominance of the white race.  From these fascist online crackpots are the pools of ignorance from which future mass killers are recruited and let loose.  They are hailed as fascist freedom fighters by their online friends.  Meanwhile they can be sure that Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites will engage their users with a stream of messages that become progressively more violent, disconnected from reality and dedicated to fear and loathing.

 

American mass killers usually die at their own hand.  They die satisfied, secure in the knowledge that their act of extreme violence will be interpreted as homage to earlier incels, beasts and freaks who are heroes to the American fascist movement.  This is where tomorrow’s hard core and delusional Timothy McVeighs — the perpetrator of the Oklahoma City bombing — are cultivated and recruited.
