The only people cheering for Trump in court in New York are his lawyers, who he pays to be on his side.  Not even Trump’s own family is standing with him. His son Eric shows up but where are Melania, Ivanka, Jared, Tiffany, Don Junior and the lesser minions? They are as far from Trump’s trial as they can get, lest some of the shame rubs off on them. Just as you would expect, Trump asked to be excused so he could attend his son Baron’s graduation but then didn’t bother to attend. What could possibly be more humiliating than having Trump as a husband or father, lying about everything all the time?  Try and imagine how Melania tried to convince Baron to attend. “Well, Daddy has sex with random women and then pays them not to talk about it.  He needs us to show our support for him in these difficult times.” No, you can’t imagine that because it is impossible to imagine Melania suffering through the testimony about Trump’s sex life. She continues to have a modicum of self-regard. Most comically Trump has put out a call for the MAGA faithful to come to the courthouse and show their support.  He expected crowds, angry mobs.  He got nothing.
